Witham Cricket Club run 3 teams on a Saturday and 1 on a Sunday. The Saturday games are in the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Cricket Championship which covers Essex and Suffolk. The Sunday side play in the P.D.Q Cars League. Witham also run a number of colts sides for children as young as 8 up to under 17.

The club can boast of 2 outdoor net facilities, two grounds and an artificial wicket for the use of the colts, the club also own a bowling machine which greatly aids with nets and coaching.

The Teams

The First team are in Division 3 of the two Counties and this year are under the guidance of Kaan Hawes. No fewer than 9 colts or former Witham colts represented the first team, along with a few 'old uns' for good measure. This is Kaan's first year in charge so we wish him luck

The Second team play in Division 5, this year under the leadership of Charles Spence. The 2^nd Eleven finished mid-table again last season, and are hoping to be more consistent this year

The Third team, or the nursery, is our breeding ground and Andy Wilson has stepped up to take charge this year. The Andy's team play in Division 7 each week, normally with 2/3 adults and the rest of the side made up of colts from the age of 13 -18.

The P.D.Q Cars side is a also a development side and play in the 1st Division of the League This side is to be lead this year by Paul Bellehewe.

Social Events

The club hold a number of social/ fund raising events throughout the year, these vary from Race nights, to Quiz evenings, Gourmet food nights, Christmas parties (normally in June!!), and the Annual Dinner dance.
